Joab A. Russell, 33 TN, and family were living in Hardin County Tennessee as shown by the 1860 census. I believe that Joab A. Russell joined Capt. C. S. Robertson's Cavalry Company from Hardin County in the fall of 1861. He soon became Capt. of "B" Co., 52nd Tennessee Infantry, under the command of Col. Benjamin J. Lea, and after recovering from a wound at Stones River, became Captain of "A" Company of 21st "Wilson's" Cavalry Regiment under Forrest. Can someone tell me what happened to Capt. J, A, Russell? Is J. A. Russell and Joab A. Russell one and the same? Is this the Rev. J. A. Russell that lived in OK? Thanks, David
