Renewing my query on the family of WILLIAM R. and SARAH HAYES in the 1850 and 1860 Wayne County censuses, and their son, JOSEPH HAYES, born about 1847. Could Sarah have been the daughter of Howell ALLEN/ALEN/ALEM who lived two households away from William and Sarah Hase/Hayes in 1850, and possibly Anne ALEN listed in the 1850 Mortality Schedule? Does anyone have information concerning Howell, Adaline or Elizabeth Allen, following the 1850 census? Also seeking further confirmation on William and Sarah Hayes' son, Joseph aged 3 in 1850, who is thought to have married Mary A. RICH, and died between 1870 and 1880.
