I'm sure that all of us would be interested in cemetery photos but many of us live outside Wayne Co. Edgar, Jerry, and several others already devote a huge amount of time to posting Wayne Co. information to the website and it's one of the best ones on the TNGenWeb. There are several people in Rutherford Co. who are working like crazy to take photos of all the cemeteries and put them on the internet but it is a ton of work AND they are doing it just for the love of the genealogy. They are not being paid by anyone to do it. I am hoping to be in Wayne Co. for the family history fair in July and would be willing to try to photograph some of the graves then but it would just be a start. I live in Knoxville and would try to accomodate anyone needing photos from Knox Co. or some close proximity. Perhaps the Wayne Co. Historical Society could adopt photographing the cemeteries as a project? If it needed to be subsidized, one possibility is that those of us on the list who would benefit might consider donating money toward the project. Anyone else interested? Julie Haynes
as you said in your email, most of the projects I have seen have been done by people "for the love of geneaology"..and has not been subsidized by anyone.....and I know it would involve a lot of work on the webpage and I totally agree that the Wayne County site is a great one! maybe those of us out of county or in county could start with sending the photos we have?......
