    3. Marcia, Thank you for the offer. Yours are not mine. I have relatives buried all over Wayne Co., so many in fact that I would only want direct lines, such as GrGrandparents. I need to go to Wayne Co., probably will take me a week to get thru. :-) The lines that I have there are; ROSE, NORMAN & BECKHAM Thanks, Wanda While I am thinking about it, do's anyone this list know who this Beckham is? Zachariah Beckham b. 1824 TN. d. bf.1870, Newton Co. Ark., m. to Elizabeth Casey, 1834, Newton Co. Ark. These two are on my Casey line. Since Zachariah was born in TN. I can't help wonder if he is not related to the Zachariah Beckham from Wayne Co. Both Zack's had a daughter named Mary Ann. Quite a coincidence. There's abt. a 20 yr. difference in both mens ages.

    3. Edgar, Could we have a program, whereby volunteers in Wayne Co. would take pictures of tombstones? Also to ask your list members to reciprocate in their area? I would most certainly do that for someone in my area. I have so many ancestors buried around Waynesboro that I certainly would pay someone to do it ( gas, film, time) I am not talking about searching, especially something out in a pasture with waist high weeds. What I mean is ; with directions to a cemetery. I live in Rogers Co., Okla, and I would be willing to do this for somebody, for the same courtesy. Wanda Norman

    1. Re: [TNWAYNE] Guardian Settlement
    2. David Cagle
    3. Pat, When the father of a family died with minor children, a local member of the community, usually a male, was put in charge of the funds, lands, whatever, that would be inherited by that minor to see to his\her well being until they became adults. The settlement was an accounting to the Court as to the use of these funds/whatever. This is probably not the exact answer, but close.
