My greatgrandfather, JOHN W. LEDWELL, died in Jonesboro in the 1920s and is buried in Onks Cemetary on the Old Jonesboro Highway. He lived on outer Spring Street with his wife Julia (Canter) and their only son, Emery. Later, Emery had a farm closer in to Jonesboro across the railroad tracks and the creek behind Jake Jackson's Store. John had a heart attack while riding into town with the mail man to sell his eggs. John was a carpenter/farmer and Emery was a cattle dealer, sometimes driving his heard down through Main Street to the depot for shipment. Please help me find the date of JOHN W. LEDWELL'S death. Thank you kindly. Jewell Ledwell And thank you, Mr B. for your reply. PS: I grew up in Jonesboro and would be glad to share with anyone interested.
