The Watauga Association of Genealogists will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept 6 at the Johnson City Public Library, 101 Millard St. The guest speaker for this meeting will be Robert Hardin, author of his first book, Overmountain Victory Trail-Then and Now. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from East Tennessee State University and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University. Mr. Hardin is a member of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association and works as a volunteer for the National Park Service to develop a walkable trail along the route as well as to promote the story of the Overmountain Men.
