I am a descendant of Absalom SCOTT (c. 1760-1848) through son Absalom (1811-1870) Washington County, Tennessee, then his daughter, Nancy who married Philip BRUMIT. Goodspeed's history indicates that Absalom was a native of Scotland, who had immigrated to Maryland where he was married before arriving in Washington County, NC/TN about 1792. I have been trying to determine: 1. When he immigrated to Maryland. 2. Where he came from in Scotland. 3. Where he was and doing between the time he arrived in America (before 1776) and about 1792 when he arrived in Washington County, TN.
