In the History of Washington County, Tennessee 1988, p. 80: "A deed recorded in Washingotn county in 1800 conveyed one and one-fourth acres of land from James and margaret Cash to James Law, Isaac Hair, Jeremiah Regan, John C. Harris and James Cash, trustees, to be used as the site of a Methodist Episcopal Church. Bishop Francis Asbury often visited the ohome of James Cash during his travels through this area. The church was built on a small hill, near the head of the Bacon Branch of Little Limestone Creek. it is not known how long this church served the community, but for many years the area was known as "Cash Hill." An old cemetery is lcoated on the site of the church." The Cemetery Survey Team would like to locate this old cemetery and any history about it.
