Hi All; Just joined your group: My gt. gt grandfather ALEXANDER BAIRD lived in your great state and county by 1783 with his wife Sarah and other family.He (they) came there from Cunberland co. Pa. after their family came there from Ireland. Alexander later moved to Abbeyville SC, then onto Franklin Co. TN. where he filed for rev. war pensions 1822-24 living with daughters Rachel and Mary Polly. Alexander was bn. 3 Dec. 1750. There was also a Robert Beard-Baird living there that filed his wil 7 May 1821 .His wife was Martha and had children James,Betsy, Mattie(whoever that is)Sally (probably Mary) Esther, Isabella,William, Joseph, Robert and Samuel. Robert was bn 1762.(Scots-Irish) I have done DNA and have an exact match with Beards descended from Pa., to Wah. Co. To Abbeville SC.and Marion Co Ala. I would like to know if there is anyone out there that knows abt. this line or is related ? If so I would love to hear from you. Thanks ever sooo much.
