Wanda, Sorry about the date, I miss read my notes, I had possible 1865. I had seen the date in my search of genealogies and had but the date down to work on later. I have not worked on my Minton line since. This person also had him born in Virginia and the son of John Minton. I put it down in my notes put I don't know how valid it is. He had Ebenezer, Richard, Isaac, and Betty as siblings of Phillip. Again a big question mark. I am the gggg granddaughter of Richard C. Minton. I have done a lot of work on him and his descendants but haven't had much time to look and research Phillip yet. However, I have often wander if he was not born in PA. You may be right about his father being named Richard. I have a Deed of Sale that a lady from Ohio sent me. It was sale between the heirs of Phillip Minton and David Mink.
