First generation - William Kelsey McCracken, b. ca 1804 at Jonesboro, Washington Co., TN, m. Jane Patton, 31 Oct 1839. Jane, b. 9 Jan 1818 in Washington Co., TN, a daughter of Thomas Cligan Patton and Mary Cloyd. Second generation - John McCracken, b. 10 Dec 1777 Cumberland Co., PA, baptized at Upper West Conocochegue Presbyterian Church, 24 May 1778, d. 10 Dec 1856 at Jonesboro. He married Martha Ann Kelsey, 8 Aug 1799, Martha b. 13 Feb 1778, a daughter of William Kelsey and Agnes Goudie. Children of William and Agnes are Agnes Kelsey, William Kelsey, Elizabeth D., Mary A., Susan B., Margaret, Catherine Kelsey. John is a son of John McCracken, b. (no later than 1752) in Guilford, Cumberland Co., PA and Margaret Patton b. ca 1755 Cumberland Co. a daughter of Anthony McCracken. Julian
