Recently I was reading early data on the Internet about the area that was Fort Patrick Henry at present day Kingsport. It said that Nathional Gist and his wife Wuther were allowed by Old Tassel the Cherokee chief to live on the great island across from Fort Henry. That is what we today call the Long Island of the Holston.
