The next portion goes on to name their grandchildren and some great grandchildren as well as meandering to the BROWN family pedigree. I found it somewhat difficult to follow, and it appears that two persons donated the information and it was roughly combined together by an Editor. (They participated in organization of Holston Baptist Association). He was a merchant-farmer and owned property where the present Fishery is now located. Children: 1. They were buried in Melvin Cemetery (Sell Farm) and Peoples Cemetery off Highway 181, Johnson City. (The Peoples family came from Scotland.) Eliza Melvin Peoples was the granddaughter of Nathan and Lavinia Patton Peoples (1749 - ________) [and the great granddaughter of John and Mary McKeehan Patton (1751 - 1836). John Patton came from Ireland about 1765.] Children: Alfred Peoples (31 Jan 1884 - Feb 1947); Lona (Bond) (11 Aug 1886 - Jul 1949); Joseph (15 Apr 1889 - 1 Apr 1940); Pearl Jane (9 Mar 1891 - 6 Jul 1892); Mary (Epperson) (4 Sep 1893 - 1968); Lillie (Oliver) (11 Jan 1896 - ______); and Ernest Edmond (3 Mar 1903 - 25 May 1978). Ernest Brown married Hazel Fitzgerald, May 21, 1923. Ernest was a farmer was employed by Holston Ordnance during World War II. He built subdivisions in North Johnson City. His wife was a wonderful Christian mother-homemaker. She was involved in 4-H work as a leader. She had a beautiful alto voice. They both enjoyed working in the church. Their children: Della Mae Brown (26 Dec 1924); Farrell Brown (24 Oct 1926); Margaret Brown (6 Aug 1928 and Betty (14 Nov 1933- 12 Jun 1987). Della Mae married James Estel Little. James served in the U.S. Navy, World War II. He is employed by Fleming Foods, and is the son of James Joshua Nellie Varena Simmons Little (both deceased). The children of Della and James Estel Little: 1. James Edmond Little (26 Nov 1946), graduate of ETSU, at present, Manager of Food Lion, Erwin, TN. James married December 14, 1968, Polly Ann Cole (16 Dec 1948) who is a certified dental assistant and daughter of Harry and Edna Moody Cole. Their Children: James Christopher Little; Matthew Jonathan Little. 2. Myra Della Little, graduate of ETSU, R.N. and Certified Chemo Nurse, Johnson City Medical Center, married James Dean Jones, Jr., son of James, Sr. and Madelyn Arnold Jones. Farrell Brown is a retired Baptist Minister, born 24 Oct 1926, married November 28, 1948, Frances Caraway. Betty Brown (14 Nov 1933 - 12 Jun 1987) married Carl Woodruff Looper, Aug 16, 1955. Cecil H. and Ruby Brown Fitzgerald Cecil Herbert Fitzgerald (1902 - 1955) and Ruby Olive Brown (1911) were married Sep 23, 1934. Cecil's parents were Robert "Bob" Fitzgerald and Molly Barnes Fitzgerald. They were parents of six children: Cecil, Clyde, Myrle, Ruby, Roscoe and Andrew. Ruby's parents were Nelson (1860-1949) and Amonda Brown (1872-1943). They were parents of eight children: Thomas 1901-1901); Dewey (1902; Irene (1904-1980); Kate (1906-1966); Robert (1907); Ray (1909); Ruby (1911); and Lois (1913). Cecil and Ruby Fitzgerald were parents of four children: Robert Nelson (died at birth); Delta Faye Fitzgerald (1937); Darrell Fitzgerald (1946) and Dale Fitzgerald (1947). Cecil had one daughter by his first marriage, Erma Cravens (1928). Delta married William Buckingham. They have three children: Vicki Faye Buckingham Hyatt (1960); Charles Buckingham (1967); and Danny Buckingham (1967). Vicki Faye married Gene Hyatt. They are parents of one child, Ashley Sheree (1984). Charles married Angela Shea Green in 1988. Darrell married Volena Hovatter.
