    3. You should also be aware that there are some errors in the family histories. I have one Washington Co. ancestor who is included in two different family histories with seriously conflicting information. Even so, I found some excellent leads in the family histories. I haven't resolved the conflicting information--there were two Peter Millers, both of whom had sons named Jacob--but the two family histories are good starting points for me. It should be easier to try to disprove one and confirm the other than to have to start with nothing--just like the information on the Mormon website.
