    3. Hi Pat, Thanks for the Robertson web site. I was very helpful and informative. I originally said Robinson because that is the way his name was spelled on the deeds that I have been looking at. I checked out the basis for Tom Robertson's claim that Charles Robertson's wife was Susanna Nichols rather than Susanna Cunningham. It is based on given names used in the two families and his children's given names certainly match those of the Nichols family rather than the Cunningham. For my purposes, I was hoping for Susanna being a Cunningham. My John Laymon (married Martha Jane Goodpasture or Jane McPheeters) who is in Washington Co., TN from 1786 to 1791 sold three parcels of land to Chales Robertson in 1791. After John was gone to KY and Hamilton Co., OH, Charles Robertson serves as John Laymon's representive (power of attorney) in several land deals from 1791 to 1795. By 1793, John Laymon is living near Cunningham Mills 14 miles NE of Fort Washington (Cincinatti), OH. The Cunningham connection would fit nicely with this senerio! Does anyone know who the Henry Taylor who witnesses the will of Charles Robertson in 1798 is? A Jacob Laymon, who may be John's eldest son or nephew marries a Mary Taylor in 1798 and their first children are born in TN before they more on to Warren Co., OH to join John Laymon after 1805. Thanks, Steve Laymon
