Was your Bayless/Brown family always in Washington County? Where were they in 1830? 1840? I ask because David's son, William, had a daughter born 1804-10, but I don't know her name. William Brown moved his family to Bedford County, Tennessee in 1817; resided in Rutherford County, Tennessee in 1820; back in Bedford County in 1830; and resided in that part of Bedford County which became Coffee County in 1836, thus he is found in Coffee County in 1840. His land grant joined the Rutherford County line which is probably why he's was listed there in 1820. Jerry W.
