    3. Seeking info about ADAM WATERFORD and wife BETSY DAY; they may have been "people of colour". They were married in Tazewell Co., VA., 26 May 1811, where he was granted permission to settle within that county. By April 1817 he was residing in Sullivan Co., TN., where he had purchased 206 acres from ADAM MILLER. Later, a ISAAC BAKER filed a law- suit against WATERFORD over debts owed by ADAM WATERFORD, The case was ultimately tried before the Chancery Court in Rogersville, TN. However, both WATERFORD and BAKER died before the final settlement - WATERFORD in 1835 and BAKER in 1830. I have written for a copy of the Case, which is archived at East TN. State University. Specifically, I would like to know about their children. Here's hoping that someone on this list will be able to help me and thanks. ........................................Mobie McCammon
