My gggreat grandfather was Labron PITCOCK b. 1809 TN married to Elizabeth CHAPMAN. Labron's father was John PITCOCK married to Mary FISHER on Feb.15, 1791 in Berkeley County, VA. minister- Moses Hoge. I am looking for John PITCOCK's birth place and date. ANY info on his parents would be greatly appreciated. FOR THE RECORD. I have been quoted on rootsweb as saying that John's father is Stephen PITCOCK of Penn. I have never said this. I told a few fellow PITCOCK researchers I was trying to make a connection but NEVER could. I have read several places where PITCOCK researchers have found a connection from John to a Thomas PITCOCK of Penn. I would be VERY interested in knowing about this. I have been researching the book "History of THE PIDCOCK FAMILY and Association", the PIDCOCK genealogy, and also gone to Bucks Co. Penn. several times to see if I could work my way thru the opposite direction. Always willing to share ANY info I have with ANYONE. Would really like to make the connection with the PITCOCKS to the PIDCOCKS of Bucks Co. Penn. since it seems so apparent. Thank you in advance. Gary Pitcock (formerly from Monroe Co. KY) ==== PITCOCK Mailing List ==== Have a question, recommendation or comment about RootsWeb or this list, please direct same to the list moderator: Jim Young <[email protected]> Issues of general membership interest should be directed to the list: [email protected] ============================== Free Web space.
