Then my Mom made cracklins for us kids. You really brought back memories when you mentioned the smell of them. It was wonderful, and we kids could hardly wait for them to cool so we could have some. Of course, with what we know about healthy eating today, we would never eat one, but back then they were OH, SO GOOD!!!! Like they say, sometimes ignorance is bliss
