    1. Mohler/Moler/Molar and Isenberg, Pickett
    2. Is anyone researching the family of MOHLER with variant spellings of Moler and Molar? I am researching the family of Lydia MOHLER who married Daniel ISENBERG in Washington County, TN. April 9, 1819. They settled in Monroe Co., KY. Lydia's younger brother, Henry MOHLER, married Margaret ISENBERG, Daniel's younger sister. Lydia's younger sister, Susanne, married William PICKETT. Lydia's father was Henry Mohler/Molar and her mother unknown. Henry lived in Rowan County, North Carolina and moved to Washington County, TN after 1790. After the death of his first wife, Henry married Margarette ISENBERG ca 1830. Is this Henry and Margarette actually the same people that I have above as Lydia and Daniel's brother and sister?? I have a book titled MOHLER - MURRAY FAMILY by E.M.MOHLER of Sarasota, Fla. and published in 1957. Many of the male names are Henry MOHLER but I don't see that the Henry above fits into it. Thanks.

    3. I'd like to thank Betty and Margaret, and all the volunteers of this project, for the exceptional work they continue to do in transcribing Washington County cemeteries. The cemetery photographs and additional information from census records, etc., do so much to make these people "real" to us. Thanks so much for this valuable information and your many hours of volunteerism. 3. Seeking info about ADAM WATERFORD and wife BETSY DAY; they may have been "people of colour". They were married in Tazewell Co., VA., 26 May 1811, where he was granted permission to settle within that county. By April 1817 he was residing in Sullivan Co., TN., where he had purchased 206 acres from ADAM MILLER. Later, a ISAAC BAKER filed a law- suit against WATERFORD over debts owed by ADAM WATERFORD, The case was ultimately tried before the Chancery Court in Rogersville, TN. However, both WATERFORD and BAKER died before the final settlement - WATERFORD in 1835 and BAKER in 1830. I have written for a copy of the Case, which is archived at East TN. State University. Specifically, I would like to know about their children. Here's hoping that someone on this list will be able to help me and thanks. ........................................Mobie McCammon
