Dear List, It’s been a couple years since my last posting and no luck yet in my search for information on the Gordons of early 1800s of Warren Co. There were 3 Gordon families around 1810 (also several single Gordons) in the area and I am looking for info on any of them. The three Gordon families: 1) Family one: Robert GORDON (1773-1854) & Sarah GORDON 2) Family two: James (1784-1820) & Elizabeth (STOCKSTILL) GORDON (James was a private in the militia under Mr. Chisum’s Company). 3) Family three: John & Mary (Black) GORDON Also in Warren Co. was Charles GORDON (participated in Rev. War); John Jr. GORDON and a “Widow” GORDON. All except for Robert, Sarah and Elizabeth Gordon, in 1820 all the other Gordons seem to have disappeared. I am trying to determine if and how these families were related and where they came from. If you have any ideas / leads, please let me know. Tei A. Gordon
