    3. Greetings all, Here is a project of mine that finally made it online. It is the abstracts the first 1,808 surveys recorded in the Second District, 1807-1809. http://www.californios.us/warren/2sd/ While these surveys cover a very large area of Middle Tennessee, only the southwest part of Warren County is covered. The counties are mentioned in the surveys: Bedford, Franklin, Hickman, Lincoln, Maury, Rutherford, Warren, White, and Williamson. Actually, none of the surveys were in White County, but the later forming Coffee County and the eastern part of Giles County are covered by the Second District. Fred Smoot

    3. I must say to Fred, Patty and Brenda that you have done a wonderful job on this survey site. Even though I didn't see any of my ancestors, I really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work!! 3. Silas Alexander married Sophia Spangler in Warren Co on December 17, 1838. I believe Sophia is the daughter of George Spangler. In Warren County, Tennessee Plat Book Vol. 3 by Nona Williams, I have found a survey done on "August 2, 1838 for John Morgan 25 acres by entry dated 14 January 1836 No. 4118 on the waters of the Barren Fork of Collins River, Silas ALEXANDER's line, Campbell's line, Wm. Traver's line. Sam'l Lesley and Alex'r Wimberly, CC. The above entry called for 100 acres. A. Higginbotham, PS August 4, 1838. Sent on 27 November 1828 by Geo. SPANGLER." Where might I be able to get a copy of this survey? Also, Samuel Alexander had 50 acres on the waters of the Barren Fork of Collins River and Houston Alexander and Silas Alexander were chain carriers. Is anyone else researching these Alexanders who could tell me their relationship? Anyone researching Spangler? Thank you for any leads. Linda King Oregon
