Hello Everyone! I am new to the List. I am searching for information on Robert Smith and his wife, Rebecca Smith. All I have are their names. Was his father John Smith?? Their son, David Crockett Smith, was born in Feb. 1845 in Sparta. He died March 9, 1911 in Fannin, Goliad Co., Texas. David married Mahalia Jane Renfro on Feb. 8, 1867 in Sumner Co., Tennessee. They were parents of William Robert Smith born Dec. 26, 1867 in Sparta and his twin, who died at birth; also one sister, Mary Ida Smith. William Robert Smith died Feb. 4, 1951 in Victoria, Victoria Co., Texas. He married Nora Emma Jackson on Nov. 29, 1891 in Gatesville, Coryell Co., Texas. Mary Ida Smith married William Thomas Scott; she died Jan. 20, 1950 in El Campo, Wharton Co., Texas, in a house fire. I will appreciate any information. Thank you, Shirley Wells [email protected]
