Mamie, You should use the search engine here for what we have on the Warren County TNGenWeb website: http://www.tngenweb.org/warren/ Also, Warren's records are microfilmed and available at TSLA (State Archives) in Nashville. You may order the microfilms for viewing at the LDS Family History Libraries. This is what is on microfilm. Warren's early records are limited. I can't pay out large sums to *professional* researchers. : I am stuck on my PAYNE family. : Mamie :
Thanks Fred! I know it is aggravating, but ordering microfilm is difficult for me because I never know when someone has time to take me to the library. I do miss the years when I could pack a cooler, go jump in the car and go, where and when I needed to. Thanks for the search feature, hopefully it will turn up something new for me! I know my John Payne was there before 1828, according to deed records. I have wondered how much earlier than 1828 he could be found from the tax lists. Thanks for trying to help! I really do appreciate it!
