Dear List, Seeking parents of Elizabeth Johnson, who was born in Roane Co. TN @1808-1810.  Elizabeth was second wife of Medlin Johnson Dunham (son of Henry Dunham & Elizabeth Medlin).  Medlin & Elizabeth m. Nov 1835 in Warren Co. TN. Medlin's first wife was Nancy Louisa Johnson (dau. of William Johnson and Sarah Unk).  Nancy was prob. born in Warren Co. TN.  She died there in March 1835. Does anybody out there have info on parents of Elizabeth Johnson.  Elizabeth died Phelps Co. MO in 1860's. Thank you,  Judy in TX

Is there anyone in Warren County that one could get, to check into very early records like 1820's--records such as tax books, or circuit court records? I can't pay out large sums to *professional* researchers. I am stuck on my PAYNE family. Mamie

I know this is a very long shot, but here goes. President Andrew Johnson b. 1808 Raleigh, NC d. 1875 Elizabethton, TN b. Greene Co., TN s/o Jacob Johnson b. 1778 Forks of the Delaware, PA, Revolutionary War veteran, lived in Virginia, granted land in Greene Co., TN. I do not know anything about Andrew's brother William, except he left Greene county. Jacob could also have had a brother William. Good Hunting Patti
