Brent: Do you know of any connection between the Cantrell and Spears or Tackett families who lived in White or Warren County TN during the early 1800s? I believe that there are Sherrills connected in that group, somehow. And maybe a Casteel or two. Jim, I do not know of a connection between the Cantrell & Spears families at this time, but there may be one . Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Spears & Asenith (Dunnigan) are the parents of Cantrell Spears, not Hyrum. Hyrum Spears is my g-g-grandfather; he did not name a son Cantrell.
