My gg-grandmother was his second wife, Ellen Wiseman Hennessee Hayes. My g-grandfather was their son James Markus Hayes. They had a "blended family" with five children by Laura and Ellen had children from her first marriage to a Hennessee and Elmore and Ellen then had 3 of children. You can see them in the 1880 census of Warren County, TN.
