Merritt's great-grand-daughter that lives in Longview, TX. She could not provide much information other than she knows that he lived in Garrett, TX, a small community north of Ennis, TX. Also in Garret lived his brother John Merritt who had a son named Louis T. Merritt. I knew Louis' daughter Ina Belle (married a Cave) and lived in Garrett across the street from my wife's Aunt Vashti. In the early 1960s I met P. T.s daughter Minne and knew his youngest son Chatham. Chatham attended the Church of Christ in Garrett. GGD did not mention another brother.
