Betty "Don't believe so. Those books, and others like them, stay in the genealogy dept. and are not available to be taken out of the libraries. They are each $70'ish, and ordered from their respective county. I have all 3 and will be glad to do some look-ups for you. Betty" For everyone's info, I did some searching and I believe that the Coffee County Heritage Book may be available on microfilm. I'll check some more. As for look ups, I really would appreciate it. I have at least two, maybe three Clinton TUCKERs. I'd sure like to sort them out. The oldest one I can confirm was born in 1789, NC and was a Methodist Episcopal preacher in Warren Co TN. His brother should be George B. TUCKER father to Martin Rufus TUCKER, also Methodist Episcopal preacher. The third Clinton Monroe W. TUCKER b. 1839 Warren Co TN m. Mary Ann Victoria DOYLE b.1842 Hickman Co.TN.This was his second wife. I'd like to confirm her father's name, notes I found in my Aunt's things indicate that her Mother was a TARRANT. One of her brothers, Will DOYLE was a Methodist Episcopal preacher. I know this sounds like a lot, maybe to much, but if there even one tiny clue in the Warren Co Book, it may give me a direction to go. I am grateful for your taking your time to even look. I'm not really sure what kind of info these books contain so I may be asking for something that isn't even available. Thanks a bunch, Carol, http://community.webtv.net/carg/MYREALWORK Whatever befalls the earth Befalls the sons of the earth. ~Chief Seattle~
Carol, I found none of these names in the Warren Co., Heritage Book. . However, I did find a George B. TUCKER (1922-1995) mar. in 1941 to Ruby Pauline TRAVIS (1916-1986) in the Coffee Co Book. One son Dale GeorgeTUCKER (1951- ) Detroit, Michigan. Wife Diane Peoples. There is probably 300 TUCKERS (or more) in Coffee Book. |In the Grundy Book, there is one mention of Rev. Clinton Tucker. That is in the article submitted by myself !!! My Dad, Harvey Haskell SUMMERS aka "Tucker" was b. DeKalb Co., TN 1888. There was a circuit riding preacher surname TUCKER. As a small boy, he would take my Dad on horseback to the various preaching engagements. |Harvey became known as "Tucker" or "Little Tuck". I believe the preacher to be either Clinton, Sr or |Jr. |I didn't follow thru. I had found them in the Coffee, Warren areas, though. Clinton is on the Warren Co Tax List. What say ye????
