    2. The following new message has been posted on Forum at <http://www.tngenweb.org/warren/webbbs/queries/index.cgi>. *************************************************************************** MESSAGE: (#1612) Re: Martins in Warren County <http://www.tngenweb.org/warren/webbbs/queries/index.cgi?rev=1612> AUTHOR: Linda Robbeloth DATE: Thursday, 29 December 2005, at 9:14 p.m. Reply To: (#1611) Re: Martins in Warren County Author: Carole Martin R Date: Thursday, 29 December 2005, at 3:06 p.m. William "Rock" Martin was born February 23, 1781 in NC and died June 20, 1866 in Warren Co., TN. He married Jennie Bradford, daughter of Thomas Bradford Sr. "Rock" came from NC to TN in 1797. One source names his children as George, Elijah, Jesse, Polly and Amelia. Another names Mary, Jesse, Allen, George, Thomas, William C., Tolbert and Elijah as children. I am not aware of a John Martin who died young althought there were 2 John Martins listed in the 1820 census. One is John Martin (abt 1764-1873.) In 1830 there are 4 John Martins and 2 Sarah Martins. I too am looking for a Martin family in Warren County. Tavner Martin seems to have no ties to any other Martin family. Identifying all the Martins in Warren County between 1800-1830 would certainly answer a lot of questions for all of us. *************************************************************************** This is an automatically-generated notice. 3. I am so flabergasted that I really can't think straight. I always thought there was only one missing link, and that was Allen's parents to the Merriman's that came to Va. from England, then went to Baltimore, back to Va. then to N.C. I never ran across any reference to Abendego. Do you have any information that you could share on him? I have everything from Allen through my Father, Raymond, with some birth, death, and marriage certificates, or census stats. I found Allen in Bledsoe County, Tn. Census, and that he married Eliza Emaline Humble. Got all of the Humble data, and know that is correct. I guess if we are going to swap info we need to do it other than on the Tn. Web page. My email is lljbeard@shentel.net. I live in Virginia, where do you live? My missing ggggrandfather came from Kentucky and died in TN. He had 4 children by his first wife and she died about 1820. He then had a girl and a boy by a second wife before he died. I have dozens of pieces of information but can't tie my Martins to anyone. Would love to find other Martin male descendants to join the Martin DNA project. So far, my line seems to be a new one. I have so far been unsuccesful in finding the guardian(s) of my Martin orphans since we have a family Memoir that says they were "bound out". The step mother must have kept her own two children. Does anyone know when "Rock" Martin died? I suspect that the John Martin who died young, wife Sarah or Sally, and William "Rock" may have been related. *************************************************************************** This is an automatically-generated notice. 1. Enoch Jones, Jr., son of Enoch Sr. and Elizabeth Ferrell Jones
    2. Enoch Jones, Jr., son of Enoch Sr. and Elizabeth Ferrell Jones, was born abt 1832 in Warren Co, TN, and died February 10, 1863 in TN. He married MARY BURGER February 08, 1854 in Cannon Co, TN. She was born abt 1832 in TN, and died in TN. Both are buried in the Banks Cumberland Pres. Church Cemetery, Smithville, DeKalb Co, TN They both are found in the 1860 census of Warren Co, TN but this is the last census I can find them in. They both could have died in and around the Cannon Co, or DeKalb Co, TN area. Their children were LEETHY JONES, b. 1854, MARTHA JONES, b. 1856, and MARINDA JONES, b. 1858. I hope someone is connected and can give more info on them. Or would be great just to hear from someone new in this family. Some of you have already helped so much and I just wanted to 'Thank you' all again. This is what the lists are all about. If anyone knows about this family and where they went, please contact me at _shoke2253@aol.com_ (mailto:shoke2253@aol.com) Helen

    1. About TNGenWeb's other Query system.
    2. Fred Smoot
    3. Back again, Not to be overlooked... Some TNGenWeb County Coordinators prefer to use our older query system that gives them a real hands on approach to queries. While we do not use that system for Warren County, it is used in four of Warren's neighboring counties, Cannon, Coffee, Van Buren, and White. 2. Fred Smoot
    3. Holiday Greetings, Yesterday I subscribed TNGenWeb's Warren County Query Board to this list. This is an experiment, just to see if it would work, and to see if you like the results. When a posting is made to the Query Board, a copy is sent to this list. The Warren Query Board [Forum] is located here: http://www.tngenweb.org/warren/webbbs/queries/index.cgi Note that the Query Board is now moderated so the chances of getting spam from the Board is just about zero. If you see a posting on this list that originated at [Forum], you will need to go to the Query Board to post an answer. Posting the answer to this list will not necessarily reach the person who made the original post. The full Monty of our Tennessee Query Boards is shown on this page: http://www.tngenweb.org/bbs/ Some (but not all) of these Boards have a direct notification option. Look for the "(Un)Subscribe" button in the tool bar. Fred Smoot

    1. Re: [TNWARREN] Bouldin/Bowlin
    2. Am still searching for ANY info on Solomon Bowlin/Boling etc who married Sarah Walker pre-Civil War. Had 2 children, Mary Elizabeth Bowlin & Levi H. Bowlin. Solomon died in Nashville during the CW of smallpox. Sarah, his widow, remarried to John Oliver, lived in Grundy/Marion Co TN. We think Solomon could be a grandson of Temperance. According to his wife's pension application papers, neighbors were Nunley, Woodlee, Walker, etc in Warren Co, TN along the Collins River. We think Sarah's father was James Walker, poss son of Jeremiah Walker. Any leads appreciated. Due to being on a walker, waiting on a hip replacment (Feb) I have been unable to travel to Warren Co and would truly love to find a lead on our elusive Solomon. Last found on 1860 census of Warren Co with wife Sarah & dau Elizabeth, then in his CW papers. Nothing prior to 1860. HELP.
