Searching for proof that William Ridley was in Warren County, TN, ca 1818 with 3 boys 16 and under. Second wife, Margaret ?Maxwell Ridley on 1830 census in Bledsoe County with 1 boy 10-15, one boy 15-20, one girl 5-10, one girl 10-15. I think your family is connected in some way and I would like for you to have a copy of this little book. it is crude and doesn't list places of birt or marriages but I believe it could give us a good place to start from. Jesse I was so excited to see the McWhiter name but I couldn't find your names in my husbands line. I thought that there might other names that could fit. I have a book(crude) that has the history of the McWhiter clan back to the 1700's in looks like it was published in 1937. My husband grandfather was Thomas Forbes McWhiter. We live in OK and if you want to send some other names and locations I will look them up. The book is really interesting and if we find any of your names in it I will copy it for you. It looks like they were in Penn and then scattered throughout the country. The spelling has been changed a few times throughout history. If you want I could scan the intro and send to you.
