LEWIS, MRS. JEWEL - age 78 of New Tazewell, TN was born March 20, 1931 and passed away April 11, 2009. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She attended Tazewell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: her parents, John E and Mossie White; husband, John Joseph Lewis; five brothers, six sisters and their spouses. She is survived by her: sons, Rev. John Lewis and wife Helen of Tazewell, TN and Tim Lewis of Rogersville, TN; daughters, Kim Chittum and husband Ken of Tullahoma, TN and Diane Eisenhaver and husband Dwight of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Ben Lewis wife Trish of Tazewell, TN, Nikki Sandifer and husband Ronnie of Tazewell, TN, Heather Chittum of Tullahoma, TN and Jason Chittum of Tullahoma, TN; step-grandchildren, Cathy and Mike Montgomery, of Perland, TX, Tom Eisenhaver and Cori of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren, Alex Welch, Will Montgomery, Emily Lewis, Sidney Montgomery, Jackson Eisenhaver, Joseph Lewis, and Griffen Sandifer; sisters, Jean Overton of Tazewell, TN, Margie Houser of Maynardville, TN, Myrl Peters and husband Virgil of Knoxville, TN, and Goldie Langely of Maynardville, TN; several nieces and nephews and others relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 5 PM until 7 PM with funeral services to follow at 7 PM in the Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Barnard and Rev. Mitch Burke officiating. Music will be provided by Lisa Estes and Kevin Creech. Family and friends will meet Monday morning at 10 AM at the Irish Memorial Gardens for Graveside services. Pallbearers: John McAfee, Ben Lewis, Ronnie Sandifer, David Overton, Curtis Ward, and Lance Barnard. Honorary pallbearers: Bill Surber, Thomas McAfee, J.P. Barnard, Charles Harris, Brandon Barnard, Josh Barnard, Terry Overton, and Deacons of Tazewell Baptist Church.
