DAVIS, ELMER "SHOT" - age 73 of Maynardville, passed away Tuesday at 10:30 at his residence. He attended of Ailor Dale Baptist Church and was a member of the DAV, American Legion and the VFW. Preceded in death by his parents, Clint W. Davis and Nervie Davis; brothers, Kenneth and Ed Davis and sister, Ruth Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Icy Davis and brothers, Kester and William Davis. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8 pm in the Halls Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Horner officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday at 3:15 pm at the funeral home and proceed to Union Primitive Baptist Church for interment at 4 pm with full military honors provided by Tri County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Dusty, Johnnie, Glen, Larry and EJ Lay and Eddie Buckner.
