ROBERTSON, CLYDE EDWARD - age 72 of Halls, formerly of Sharps Chapel, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday Evening, May 4th, 2009. Clyde was a member and Deacon of New Hope Baptist Church, New Tazewell, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Elive Robertson; brother, Wayne Robertson; brother in law, Bill Hall and special sister in law, Jean Johnson. Clyde leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth Robertson of Halls; daughters and sons in law, Sandy and Kenneth Bevill of Andersonville, TN and Diane and Ricky Barker of New Tazewell, TN; grandchildren, Amy Bevill, Chris Barker, Ernie Barker and wife Amanda; great granddaughter, Gracelin Luttrell; sister and brother in law, Ruth and Rancy Merritt; brothers and sisters in law, Claude and Lois Robertson, Kenneth and Mary Robertson and Harold and Freda Robertson; brothers in law and sisters in law, Jim and Peggy Vandergriff, Margaret Hall, Helen and Paul Weaver, Juanita and Dennis Dabney, Dorothy and Michael Crowe and Gary Johnson. Clyde leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends. As per Clyde's wishes, he requested his earthly remains be donated to science and medical research, so that others may benefit. A memorial service will be held in Clyde's honor, 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7th, 2009 at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Hines Creek Road, Heiskell, TN. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association , 211 Center Park Drive, suite 3010, Knoxville, TN 37922 or to the charity of your choice.
