    3. HODGE, CLAUDIA KAY - age 64 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Sunday May 17, 2009 at her home after a lengthy illness. Claudia was born in Union County on January 1, 1945 to Garland and Myrtle Davis. Claudia was a long time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. Along with husband Billy, they started Hodge Mfg. where Claudia worked for over 30 years as office manager. Claudia loved working and found joy in constantly being busy. Claudia is preceded in death by her parents Garland and Myrtle Davis; and brother Bob Davis. Claudia will be remembered by many, for her big smile and contagious laughter. Claudia leaves behind a family that will treasure her in their hearts always. She will be greatly missed for she was indeed an outstanding Christian, wife, mother, mamaw and friend to many. Survived by husband of 46 years Bill Hodge who took extra special care of her during her illness; sons Tim (Judy), Michael (Tracy) Hodge; sisters Helen Langley, Evelyn Smith (Charles), JoAnn Buckner (Eddie); brother Dee Davis (Fay); sister-in-law Sue Davis. Claudia leaves behind her grandchildren that loved her dearly Cortney, Mackenzie, Bryce and Parker Hodge. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19 from 5-8pm at Ailor Mortuary in Maynardville. with funeral services to follow at 8 p.m. at Ailor's Chapel. Claudia's long time pastors Burney Hutchison and Larry Day officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday at Snodderly Cemetery. Ailor Mortuary, Maynardville. Our 24-hour obituary line 865-992-1114.
