CLAY, PURLEY HUGH (PETE) - age 75, of Maynardville, TN went to be with the Lord May 12, 2009. Pete professed faith in Christ at an early age, and was a member of a Baptist Church in North Carolina. Preceded in death by: father and mother, Harry and Charlotte Eda Clay Frost; son, Mark Clay; brothers, Glenn, Earl, and Paul Clay; sister, Vicki Clay Doering. Survivors: loving wife of 20 years, Ruby Clay; sons, Michael and Kelly, Scott and Sharon Clay; stepchildren, Jeff and Tracy Crawford; grandsons, Michael Lee Clay, Nicholas and Brandon Crawford; great grandchildren; Ava and Jack Clay; brother, Joe and Regina; sister-in-law, Rose Clay; sisters, Deloris, Norma, Pamela Clay, Peggy and Paul Carter, Linda Frost Marsh; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Virgil and Deanna, Ivan and Betty, and Elmer Crawford, Bob and Christine Taylor, Richard and Mary Allen, Richard and Linda Nicely, and Robin Crawford; uncle, Verlin Clay; aunts, Virgie Larmer, Daisy Johnson, Earl, and Dorena Nicely, Eileen and Tom Ryburn; a host of nieces and nephews.
