    3. DAVIS, SHARON Y. - age 60 of Corryton went home to be with Lord on Friday, May 1, 2009. She was a faithful member of Ailor Dale Missionary Baptist Church. She was a children's Sunday School teacher for more than 35 years. "Ms. Sharon" had a special love for children and was friend to all of them that came in contact with her. She was an avid gardener and always grew the most beautiful flowers. She retired from Bell South in 1996 after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by mother, Dorothy Yarnell; sister, Joan Cashion; special cousin, Marty Hibben; and father-in-law, James A. (Trigger) Davis. Survived by loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Doyle A. Davis of Corryton; father, O.A. Yarnell, Jr. of Knoxville; twin sister, Sheila (Jerry) Jones of Texas; brother, Jerry Yarnell of Powell; mother-in-law, Grace Davis; sister-in-law, Bobbie (Paris) West; and brother-in-law, Robert C. "Doc" Davis all of Corryton; nieces, Heather (Shannon) Thompson, Amy (Cal) Roberson all of Texas, and Melanie (Brad) Carlisle of Corryton; nephews, David Cashion and Jimmy Cashion; great-nephews, Kyle Thompson and Wesley Roberson all of Texas and Braden Carlisle of Corryton; and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Horner and Rev. Glenn Suffridge officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:15 PM Thursday at Bridges Funeral Home and proceed to Little Flat Creek Cemetery for an 1:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Vencent Jones officiating. Pallbearers: Robert Davis, Paris West, Charles Harmon, Harley Acuff, Shawn Raley and Eugene Flanigan.
