THACKER, MRS. ARAH VIOLET - age 92 of Rutledge, TN was born March 24, 1917 and passed away June 14, 2009 at her home. She farmed most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Kathy Ward Hispher; daughters, Marlene Williams and Betty Cameron; brothers, Paul Posey and John Hipsher; and grandson, Johnny Watson. She is survived by her son, Bill & Jean Thacker of Rutledge, TN; grandchildren, Judy & Mike Kerr, Jerry Williams, Vicki Watson, Terri Thacker, Pete & Lori Watson, Steve & Dawn Cameron; 17 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; nephews; sister-in-law, Roxie Posey of Tazewell, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Tuesday June 16, 2009 at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the New Bethel Cemetery with Rev. Travis Bowden officiating.
