    1. Re: [TNUNION] Looking for information
    2. I never got to meet Chet, but in the years we corresponded prior to his death, I grew to really appreciate that side of the family. My Aunt Beverly was very musically talented and played several musical instruments very well (I play the radio), so I think the musical genes kind of got diluted when they got to me. Thanks for sharing that memory with me, Clara. (I wonder if we're related--the more I research, the more I think that somehow or other, I'm related to half of Union county by blood or marriage.) The main ones I'm working on are Atkins, Booker & Monroe, though I work on some of the shirt tails and descendents of all the cousins, etc as well. Karen In a message dated 1/29/2011 11:34:58 A.M. He and some other "Mid-day merry-go round" musicians used to have jam sessions in our living room because it was big. He was a gentleman of the first degree...still miss him Clara In a message dated 1/29/2011 12:03:09 P.M. I know that her dad was married several times, so I am not sure where this daughter fits in. I've been reading the book about Chester Burton Atkins "Chet", who's descended from the same Atkins family I am (although the book leaves out his grandfather Sylvester's first wife & 6 kids--was it politcally incorrect to be the father of 12 children when the book was written so the author thought it appropriate to completely leave out the mention of the first wife & kids?), and I used to correspond with his dad, many, many years ago.
