I'm an 84 year old woman, a musician, who knew Chet. He and some other "Mid-day merry-go round" musicians used to have jam sessions in our living room because it was big. I've been reading the book about Chester Burton Atkins "Chet", who's descended from the same Atkins family I am (although the book leaves out his grandfather Sylvester's first wife & 6 kids--was it politcally incorrect to be the father of 12 children when the book was written so the author thought it appropriate to completely leave out the mention of the first wife & kids?), and I used to correspond with his dad, many, many years ago.
