    2. Hope you are all enjoying the new articles made available to us by the Union County Historical Society. In the next few days we will be adding the following articles: Union County Road Crew: Includes photograph and a listing of who all the men are included in the picture. John Sebastian Graves: Monument that tracks his movements from Germany to his final resting place in Union County. Norton Mill: Photo of the recently restored mill and a history of it's ownership and operation. John Loy's Tombstone: The history of this unique tombstone made of iron including photograph. Gravesite of Henry and Sirena Snodderly: Photo of their graves in Snodderly Cemetery. Last Roundup at Loyston: A photo of people who were displaced in Loyston by Norris Lake, taken at a reunion. Murder of a Campbell County Sheriff: This is meaningful to Union County because it occurred in what is now Union County. Great article and photograph. World War I Veteran's list: A list of all known WWI veterans from Union County as well as the history of the marker erected on their behalf. Raccoon Miller: Still another article about the most sought after man in Union County Genealogy. (We get more requests anyway) Roy Claxton Acuff: The history of this Union County native and Grand Ole Opry star. Including the effort made to get a historic marker on his behalf erected in Union County. Better Pictures of L.B. and Della Hutcheson Graves A history of Sam Smith: Sam was a slave in Union County. Here is his history as well as that of numerous slaves from the area. As well there is included an accounting of Sam's finances at his death. A comprehensive list of who he owed and who owed him. Some popular names here. And The Best For Last... We will be publishing a list of all people displaced in Loyston by TVA. This includes people, businesses, schools, and churches. Also I talked to Mr. Tharpe about Pathway Articles. He is in the process of putting together an index of all Pathway Articles. They like about three years. Once done the index will be made available on our site. It will be searchable. This means you will be able to search all back issues of Pathways for articles that pertain to your research. Once you find the article you will be able to order just that article from The Historical Society. That should reduce the cost to you and allow you to find just the articles you want ONLINE!
