Don't get me wrong I have absolutely nothing against Rootsweb or their service. But I do not like what they are doing with these boards. Pages like these are being created without consultation of the county host. I appreciate both my page users and Rootsweb for providing a great service to me and Union County. I have spent the last couple of years building this website, and attracting users. I do have a problem with an organization that wants to use my work to make money. How will they make money from this? If you read the agreement (included below) you will see that the phrase "RootsWeb may charge a nominal fee for new listings" is included. I have a problem with my users being charged anything and it being labeled Union County. I realize that there is nothing I can do about it. But I just wanted to put in my ten cents worth. Everyone wants to make money and I understand the need.
