    3. Hi, There is a book (which I cannot think of the name), I am sure McClung has it about Coal Creek ; there was a disaster and many were killed. I will try and find that. I had a great-grandfather whom I never knew and my daddy never knew, he lived in Coal Creek and is on the 1880 census with his first wife and the mother of the man who would be my grandfather, whom I never knew nor did my father. She died on "Easter Sunday" in Coal Creek, TN." The rest of the family moved to Knoxville. This is a very strange story, I tried to follow the family, I got back only to 1800 in NC and hit a dead end. I engaged the services of a lady and she thought she knew all the people of that particular surname. Nothing.
