Chip, I agree with you 200%. RootsWeb has been very useful to me and I can even understand their needs for funds to run their site. BUT--- It is not right for them to charge any fee what-so-ever for work that is done by others. Isn't this kind of like "stealing?" You have done a fabulous job and it is obvious that you have put many hours in this AND EXPECTING NOTHING IN RETURN. I would like to tell you how much I, and I'm sure many, many others, appreciate your efforts. RootsWeb: If you need funds, this is NOT the way to raise them. Don't STEAL from those who have helped you build your site. I would be willing to bet that if you start charging fees for postings, you will see that people will go elsewhere.
