    2. The DAR has completed their searchable records database. As they won't loan their books it may not help most of us. However if you live close enough to a Dar Chapter it may give you an idea of which books to check. Also most of the books listed are available through other sources, maybe even your library. Check out their website at: http://dar.library.net The LDS is in the process of placing their records online. We have heard rumors for some time of their plans to do that. Here is the URL of a news article from BYU outlining their plans. http://newsnet.byu.edu/noframes/show_story.cfm?number=8836 While the LDS may well hold the largest collection of genealogical records, I as well as many others feel that their accuracy may sometimes be in question.
