    3. I'm going to post this message to the list again, because I was somewhat in error in the name that I was searching for before. I am looking for a Strevel that married a Bowen somewhere between the late 1860's and early to mid 1870's. I originally thought her name to be Sarah, but I now know her given name was Serena but it also appears as Serery as well. Sarah also shows up on some documention that I have about the death of her mother Lydia Lane Strevel. Her father William Strevel died in the civil war in 1862. Now, William and Lydia show up on the census indexes posted on the Union County website I also know that they must have lived on the Union Claiborne county line because they also show up in the 1850- 1860 Claiborne County census. However there is no record, in Claiborne county for anyone named Bowen or any of the misspellings that the name often has. So actually that compounds the problem of finding who she married because the name could be misspelled in any number of ways. Therefore hunting for Strevel appears to be my best bet in finding any record of a marriage between the two. If anyone has any information about a marriage between a Strevel and anything that even remotely is liking Bowen, including Bowers, Bowens, Bowing etc, please let me know. Thanks. Richard Holt
