Hello all. I am looking for information on Lanes in Union County. My grandmother was Lettie Geneva Lane born in Union Co 4 April, 1911 and died 21 July 1947 (before I was born.) She had sisters Ruth, Ruby, Nannie, and Trevena "Tootsie" Lane. Her mother was supposedly Bessie Cardwell, however I understand she was married at least four times, once to a Lynch, so I am not sure whether Cardwell was a maiden name or not. I have no idea who Lettie's father was, other than he was deceased at an early age. I never met any of these people and they or their descendants may still live in or near Union County. Lettie married Carl Lewelling from Knoxville, Tn. Their oldest child was Evelyn Louise Lewelling (my mother). She told me she had never heard anything about her grandfather and, as a child, only remembered her grandmother being a Lynch. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Dusti Sparks
