Thanks for the e-mail. I already knew about John and Jesse Lewis being hanged for the murder of the sheriff and deputy sheriff of Campbell Co. The write-up was very descriptive. I had also read an accounting of this event from letter to Mrs. Bessie Warwick Silver of Heiskell, TN. This letter was written by a G.L. Ridenour of Caryville, TN in 1963. The facts are the same.
