I have an ancestor, John Phillip Sharitz (Sharrett/Sharits/Sherrod, etc.) who bought 200 acres in 1819 on the West Fork of Flat Creek from Christian Foust. John died about a year later and his family moved back to Sullivan Co., TN. Can anyone tell me where the West Fork of Flat Creek is? I am trying to find his grave site. Thanks.
