The branch from Clinch Mountain would be a feeder. (All Creeks and Rivers in that part of the Country flow in a generally southerly direction.) I don't have a good map in front of me with the Creeks noted but, the West Fork of Flat Creek runs parallel to Clinch Mountain to the South of Luttrell and into Knox Co. and then turns generally Eastward. There are numerous branches, some with different names. I believe Chip may have been talking about Little Flat Creek which is further South/West of Corryton. Try looking for House Mountain and tracing the Creek that runs in a general E/W direction located just North of there. You should be able to determine which is the main branch by tracing one that goes generally along that E/W line to the South of Luttrell and turns North toward Washburn. Maybe that will help you to pinpoint it more. Again, I don't know where the West Fork of that Creek ends/begins along that E/W line but the part running South from Washburn down by Luttrell is definitely the West Fork. -- Terry L.
